Wateringen is a town of 14 406 inhabitants (January 1, 2011) in the Westland in South Holland (Westland).
A peaceful village with a nice core with a lot of shops. The weekly market is on Wednesday from 9:00 to 16:00 on the Vliethof.
Until the end of the year 2003 was the place Wateringen with Kwintsheul the municipality Wateringen. As of January 1, 2004 is Wateringen (including Kwintsheul) along with the former municipalities Naaldwijk, 's-Gravenzande, De Lier Monster and the new municipality Westland by the municipal reorganization Westland.
The Hague Vinex Wateringseveld borders Wateringen (and is built on area of the municipality of Wateringen which is annexed to The Hague in 1994). Wateringen also has a cycling criterion: Wateringsevest Wielerdag.
